The club is holding a Accomodation Extravaganza Raffle, a book of tickets has been handed out to every player in the club, tickets will be $5.00 and every player will recieve 1 book of 5 tickets to sell. This is an important fundraising event for the club so we can purchace more training equipment, and keep our club afloat. Tickets On Sale Now
The Skills and Hot Dog night was a great success. For those who braved the wet conditions, it was a enjoyable night for the children and adults alike. The idea of the evening was to give the children a chance to show off their ball skills in a variety of different and fun ways. A number of the 1st grade players were on hand to assit and guide the young ones with their ball skills. After an hour or so of activities and games everybody was rewarded with a tasty hotdog. Many thanks go to Martin Stuart for organising the night and to the canteen staff for providing the hotdogs.
We are still holding social BBQ,s in the beer garden at the Hotel Australasia following the completion of home games. With a couple of heaters provided by the hotel and play equipment for the kids it is a relaxing way interact socially with other club members. Although most who attended are from the ladies and 1st grade teams, all club players, members and supporters are most welcome.
Have you seen our Newsletter? The club is producing a newsletter on a regular basis to keep you informed about what is going on. If you would like to contribute to the news letter please contact Tracey Campbell.
Please return all unsold chocolates from the fundraising to Donna Hardy.
The next committee meeting will be held on the 17th September 2008, @ 7:00pm in the lounge at the Hotel Australasia
Thank you for your support.
